    I could use all the criticism I can get, please tell me what you think of the story in the comment section below. Anything helps!

    Warning: This story contains vore, if you don't know what that is supposed to mean, look it up on urban dictionary really quickly so you know. If you find out that it isn't for you, you don't have to read it, but don't say I didn't warn you.

    2 Young souls, Edmond (17) and Peter (12) Carew, both filled with ambitions and hopes for the world, have left the one place they used to call home for a new life. The kingdom of Drildan, their original home, wasn't a terrible place to live in, it just was really hard for them to get themselves going without a family member to support them, so they decided to move to the neighboring kingdom, Ethedan. The thing was, there was a colossal woods in the way of the two brothers, entitled "No Man's Woods," which, like the name implied was unclaimed land. Not many traveled through this forest due to its massive size, Especially near Mt. Toath, where hostile animals and predators populated. However, since this was the quickest route there, these two were determined to make it to where they aim to go, despite how dangerous the path might be.

    The two brothers moved slowly through the woods, and with the exception of Edmond's occasional whisper of where to go, there was nothing spoken from the two as they hopped through the undergrowth. When Edmond checked the sun's position, it was beginning to sleepily fall into the west like it does daily, warning Edmond of the time of day.

    "Alright Peter" Edmond finally breaking the long silence, "we need to stop now, it's getting late, and you know how dangerous it is at night."

    "Yes I know, you keep telling me" Peter responded, agitated with his brother's persistent warnings.

    "I just want to make sure you know what we're up against. You were the one who begged me to take the shorter route instead of the safer route." Edmond replied, reminding his brother the reason for taking the treacherous path, which Peter took for a grain of salt. Once Edmond decided that the very small clearing was a good place to set up camp, he told Peter his plan: "Alright, since we don't have much time, I need you to go get some firewood, alone." Peter's eyes widening, this being the first time Edmond let him go by himself "but don't go too far from the trail, and if you see anything at all that I should know, don't mess with it, don't stay too close to it, just come straight to me, you got that?"

    Signs of excitement could be shown throughout Peter's body "I will! Don't worry!" He shouted (in a quiet way) running off into the woods. Finally! Some time to actually explore for once! Peter thought, scouting along the undergrowth for small twigs that he could bring back to Edmond, but it wasn't his first priority. His first priority was to actually look around! for a whole week, Peter had been pestered over and over with the same phrases: "Don't touch that," "Stay with me," "Keep on the path," but now he could finally go out on his own! It exhilarated him, now that he didn't have to follow any of Edmond's rules, sure he would be sort of careful, but not especially.

    After spending most of his time looking around and exploring the rich with life woods, Peter finally checked the sun's position to see what time it was. The sun's glaring light was starting to fade into the west. Shoot Peter thought if I don't make it back by nightfall, Edmond won't let me leave his site till we're out of these god-forbidden woods. Peter's priorities suddenly changed, as getting sticks was now his number one. Peter hustled looking left and right, the lost of light making it harder and harder to see where the sticks where.

    There was only a few Peter could find throughout the forest, there was no way this would suffice Edmond if he brought back this few of sticks and took this much time. He had to find more, he just kept walking and walking along, picking up whatever he could find at this point until he came across an unusual clearing. Curiosity got the better of him, and he decided to look in this clearing, where he found a treeless, grassy area, where the forest meet the mountain. Peter saw a small hill over near an overhang of rock, the hill looking like it took a dip downwards. Mystified by what could be down in the dip there urged him to advance forward towards the hill, after he finally made it to the top, he looked down, and saw something almost unreal.

    It was a dragon, something that Peter thought dragons were only in old myths told by elders, and yet there was one right below him, sound asleep. It's scales held a creamish-tan hue to them with an even lighter underbelly, it's sandy leathery wings tucked around the majority of its body while sound asleep, with curled tail. It's head held many small horns along the edge with 2 big horns along it's closed eyes, with 4 sets of talons on each legs, and long, sharp teeth, It looked ferocious and dangerous, but elegant and graceful at the same time. Peter could hardly believe he was witnessing such a sight, he couldn't help himself, he had to take a closer look.

    Peter set his sticks down beside him and noticed that it was a rocky path down to get to the crater, as well as the sun gone at this point. He knew he couldn't get any closer to this wondrous sight, which upset Peter, since when do you ever see a dragon like this? Frustrated, Peter grabbed for his collected sticks, with a bit too much force, because several sticks snapped. Afraid this sudden burst of sound would wake the dragon, he peeked down to see 2 deep green eyes staring right back at him. The dragon had woken up.

    For what seemed like the longest time, Peter and the dragon just stared at each other, neither one moving an inch, Peter just gazed into its beautiful deep green eyes, and the dragon did the same back to him. Then the dragon briefly smiled at him, but not just any smile, it was a lustful smile, whatever it wanted, it wanted him. The dragon then began to stand up and stretch watching Peter to see any irregulations in his actions. Then, without warning, the dragon jumped onto the rocky path with a loud thud, and started climbing up right towards him at an alarming rate. Peter's eyes grew to the size of dinner plates, and booked it back to the woods; He had no idea what the dragon would do to him, but something in the back of his mind told him it wouldn't be good. After he made reasonable distance with the pit, Peter looked back to see the dragon's head pop up out and look directly at him. It started running after him, which made him find a power inside him to go faster than he ever has before, The chase had begun.

    Peter ran harder than he ever could, dodging so many roots, stumps, and twigs along the way, hearing the crashing of several trees behind him. I HAVE to find Edmond Peter thought He brought his spear, he should be able to fight it. Peter started shouting Edmond's name, in order to tell him he was in trouble... no response, and the cracking of trees sounded like it was coming even closer.

    Peter panicked. He was all alone in this endeavor, despite his efforts to reach out for his brother, but right he didn't give up. He finally got a response from the right of him: "Peter?!" it said, "Are you OK?!" Peter looked to his right to see his brother in the small clearing, and Edmond looked right back at him, his eyes wide with worry of his brother.

    He had no time to go hide behind his brother like usual this time, there was no way he could stop and go to Edmond, he had to keep running, praying to god that Edmond would run right after the dragon, which was now dangerously close to peter. He had to come up with some sort of plan to trip it up.

    Peter decided the only way to shake the dragon off his tail was by making sharp turns, so that's what he did. When the dragon was almost within grabbing range he instantly cut left, catching the dragon completely off guard, peter watching its momentum carry if forward a couple meters, with a shocked, almost saddened look on its face, watching its victim get away. But that moment of triumph didn't last long, as it was back on him in a heart beat.

    Again and again, Peter kept veering left and right, over and over, but the dragon grew wise to his plan as time told, the dragon reacting to his direction changes quicker and quicker, until he had one last plan, go right under it. It was a risky plan, since the dragon wasn't incredibly big, about 6 feet tall, and 15 feet long, but it was his only option. So, Peter put his plan into motion, skidding to a stop, then running right at the dragon, widening its eyes at what Peter was doing.

    When the timing was right, Peter slid right under it, with a surprising amount of ease. Peter looked back to see the dragon just turned around, looking at him. It's face showed signs of disappointment being visibly tired, it just turned away and walked into the woods. Peter had did it. He had out maneuvered a real life dragon! This was going to go down as one of his greatest feats for sure! Just wait till he could tell Edmond! He would be... really... impressed...

    Peter suddenly began to realize how tired the run had made him get, since he was running as fast as he could for an extensive amount of time. He collapsed from his enormous exhaustion, for it was incredible that he even ran so fast for so long, there's no way anyone couldn't be. There peter lay, on the rough undergrowth of the forest, taking gigantic breaths to compensate for how tired he was. He would was going to find Edmond, of course, but first he had to catch his breath.

    To pass the time he decided to listen to the calming sounds of the nightly forest, the bird calls, the crickets sounds, the wolves howling... Oh no Peter thought Please god, don't make those wolves come to see me like this, they'll kill me for sure. Peter was in no shape to go back to running from the sounds, since he just wasted all his energy on that dragon, he was literally in fate's mercy, whether or not the wolves come by him or not.

    Peter kept a sharp ear listening strictly for the wolves, ignoring the other sounds of the once peaceful forest. The howling continued for a solid amount of time, until it had a long pause... then Peter could their hear barks and yips. Not just one wolf, but the whole pack is on their way here He panicked, he had no idea what to do, there was nothing he could do. He couldn't run and couldn't fight, he was as helpless as an injured rabbit.

    Peter looked up into the black woods, the barks and yips coming steadily from that direction, he started to break into tears. The wolves were on his trail for sure, and Edmond wasn't around to bail him out of this one. this was it, he was going to die here, alone, with no one to know what happened, except maybe if Edmond could make out his picked remains after a search to see where his brother went. He never got to do the things he wanted to do, never got to say the things he wanted to say, and he couldn't do a thing about it.

    He tried a last ditch effort of lifting himself up to start running, but it was no use, his energy was so drained he was surprised in himself that he managed to be awake for this long. Peter looked towards the sound of impending doom to see an army of ferocious yellow dots looking straight at him, getting bigger the longer he looked.

    Peter wanted to say something to Edmond, he wanted to tell him his last words, something like "You were a great brother, I was honored to be yours, I just wish I took your warnings to heart. Good bye, it was nice knowing you." He wanted Edmond to know that at least, despite how much of a pain he could be to him at times, he wants his last words to be love towards his brothers. He wished that he could ask the wolves to get the message to him, somehow, he just wanted one last wish before he leave this world, that they would tell Edmond the sad truth about what happened to him, and his last words to him. But alas, there was no way it would happen. Peter would die here without anyone knowing his hopes for this world. For these people. For Edmond. This was the worst kind of end.

    Before he knew it, the wolves appeared from the trees, a whole pack of them, the leading wolves stopped right before they reached him to engage in a staring contest with his damp face. Oh please Peter pleaded with pain written all over his eyes Please find me not worth it or something, please spare me. Then one wolf with a grey and white coat of fur pushed through the pack, its tail high, signalling to all others he was the alpha, and they are the omega. The alpha stopped right in front of Peter, though closer than the other wolves, and stared at him with beady yellow eyes, displaying no kind of emotion whatsoever. Peter begged for mercy through his, that it could find some sort of sympathy for this poor kid.

    After what seemed like full hour of staring, one of the wolves in the back looked directly above him and yelped. The alpha along with the remaining wolves broke their gaze to see what was up (get it because they looked up, hilarious, I know), the rest of the pack yelped as well, anxiously looking at their leader to give a command of retreat. It looked up at whatever caught their attention, and finally gave a defeated bark to retreat. The entire pack moved as fast as the could back the way they came, and it wasn't long until they were completely out of sight.

    Peter couldn't believe it. He just escaped death not once, but twice. He felt utterly invincible now, he felt like he could be faced with any sort of problem and solve it regardless. Then the terrible thought came to him: those wolves left not to spare him, but to run from something, something that would be able to take on the whole pack easily. Something big, something ferocious, something... that was coming for him.

    He used what little energy he had left to look back and see the terrible fortune before him: the exact same dragon that chased him before. He understood it's plan now, it didn't stop running because it was tired, it stopped running for him to realize he was tired, and force him to rest. How foolish he was for thinking he outran that thing, it was impossible, due to how big it was, and it hadn't even used its wings at all, if they didn't get tired easily while flying, there was no way it would get tired from a simple footrace.

    Peter found new strength out of pure fear, he managed to try to lift himself, once more, but it was too much with exhaustion engulfing his pitiful energy. He suddenly felt a talon wrap around his waist, and lifted him from the soft undergrowth, to turn him around to become face to face with the dragon. It had a big smile on its face, one that showed triumph and lust at the same time. Then, in a quiet feminine voice, she whispered: "I caught you"

    Then without warning, she grabbed Peter with both talons, and exploded out of the trees and into the air, stray branches hitting the both of them on the way up. She soared straight for Mt. Toath, meanwhile, Peter looked frantically for Edmond, calling out his name in panic, to try to help him out of this terrible situation. However, he could hardly see the ground through the darkness of night and the thick tree tops, much less Edmond. All he could do is hope that Edmond saw him fly up.

    It was a terrifying flight for Peter, all he could do was just stare down to the endless sea of trees. He couldn't struggle, since not only was he exhausted, but he didn't want to take a fall from this height, even if it didn't kill him, the dragon would surely come right back for him. He was once again at the mercy of another beast, for her to do was hope for the best.

    He strained his neck upwards to see if he could get a glimpse of his captor, and where they were going. He saw could see the dragon was heading directly to a dark opening in the mountain, what Peter assumed was her cave. The closer he got, the closer he could feel his end... for real this time. He noted how high the opening was from the base, there was no way Edmond could get to the top in time to save him. He took on last look at the night sky, it had little clouds, so he watched the twinkling stars for what would probably be his last time. He always had been amazed by the stars at night, but this night, they seemed especially bright and special, as if they were preforming one final show, just for Peter.

    He had realized how close the cave had come when he stopped watching the night's act, they had reached it. The dragon flew right inside, slowing down, and floated majestically to the rough rocky cave floor, and carefully dropped him right on it. She backed up by where the entrance was to watch his movements, as if to non verbally say "you're not leaving". He gave his final boost of energy to sit himself up, to enter into another staring session with the dragon. Silence flowed throughout the cave.

    The silence was maddening to Peter, he knew what was going to happen to him, he just wanted to get it over with. Finally, he broke the silence and said; "Just end me already, we both know how this will go."

    She laid her elbow and the ground and her talon on her head in a gesture of interest. She then gave a simple smile to his request, and just responded with "Who said anything about me killing you?"

    "You... you didn't..." Peter trails off, realizing the dragon was right, "B-but you why would you chase me like that if you didn't have any intention to!" He replies to the dragon, trying to justify his apparently pointless emotional outbursts.

    She chuckles to herself with the human's comment, before regaining another smile, this one in a more playful manor, "Wow, you humans really do get emotional." She mumbled to herself, fully aware Peter could hear it. "Well, you see, its always so boring around here when my sister is out and about, so I'm left with no one to spend time with, unless you really expect I, a ferocious dragon, goes on a play date with a squirrel." Peter snorted a laugh out at the thought of it, a 15 foot long dragon playing children's games with a woodland creature, but continued to listen. "So once I saw you, I thought it would be a great opportunity to have a fun little game of predator and prey. And I knew you wouldn't try nearly as hard if you knew you were in no danger. So, I decided not to tell you, to make the stakes seem more realistic, and the game an overall more enjoyable for the both of us. And don't lie to me" She leaned in almost uncomfortable close to his face "You enjoyed it didn't you?"

    Peter looked down, and thought about it. If he removed the entire part of where he thought he was in mortal danger (and the wolves) then yeah... he did enjoy it. A guilty grin grew across his face, with an occasional puff of air, trying to suppress a laugh. The dragon easily detected this and howling in laughter "See? I'm not such a big bad monster now am I?"

    "No" Giggled Peter, "You are not one at all." The two continued to chuckle for a while, until the moment started to die, in which the dragon started to reignite the spark with a simple; "So, what's your name, anyway? because I assume it isn't 'human'"

Peter shook his head, "No, it's Peter."

    "Peter..." she repeats, "I'll remember it, that's for sure! My name is Sasha by the way."

    "Well it has been very nice to meet you Sasha! But I feel like I should go find my brother so I can tell him I'm OK." Peter gets up to go around Sasha's head, "He gets really worried whenever ANYTHING happens to me. He's probably in mad hysterics if he actually saw me get carried off by a dragon!" He chuckles, trying to walk past her, but she blocks the path with her claw.

    "Hey, Sasha," Peter says gaining a slightly nervous tone to his voice, "I need to go right now, I'll come back, I swear."

    She looks at him with a more evil smile compared to before, "Do you know what happens at the end of 'Prey and Predator?'"

    "N-no... I don't..." Peter trails off, noticing her foreboding expression, giving him a bit of anxiety. He had no idea what this game was, he just assumed it was some sort of chase. "W-what happens?"

    "Well," She leaned in to meet his face about 2 feet away, and stared intensely into his eyes, "Exactly what would happen if it was really was a predator and prey relationship between us," she leans in even close, coming within 3 inches of his body, giving Peter chills down his spine and whispers; "I eat you."

    Peter's eyes grew to an outstanding size as those words rang in his head, she was going to eat him. He had 3 choices; run, bargain, or give up, and considering she had the entrance blocked, and probably already had her mind made up about him, he didn't have many options. "Ok..." Peter sighed "I guess I have no choice..."

    Sasha pulled back in surprise by his response, expecting some sort of resistance that was normal from his species "Really? You're giving in that easily?"

    "Yeah" He replied in a defeated way, "I can't escape from this cave, and can't back you out of it. I'm all yours... but could you at least make it quick though?" He asked as a final request.

    "What? Oh no," she shook her head from the misunderstanding "You won't die, dragons have a special thing called a 'storage stomach,' which we use to, as the name implies, store things. You'll be perfectly fine if I send you there." She gives Peter a reassuring smile, to make sure he knows her intentions.

    "Huh," He responds, intrigued by the anatomy of this beast, "So as long as I'm in your storage stomach, I'll be perfectly fine?"

    "Yup."

    "And I don't need to be worried about dying, or anything?"

    "Nope," She pats her cream colored underbelly with a smile, "You'll be perfectly fine down there."

    "Then go right ahead, I'm all yours" He smiles right back at her.

    "Come closer then~" Peter does as she says, which was rewarded with a extensive, wet, lick across his entire front side, leaving a trail of saliva in its wake. "Wow..." Sasha moans, "You humans taste so exquisite... I must have MORE!" She grabs Peter by his waste to keep him still, while she assaulted him with an army of warm licks.

    Peter is submissive through the entire attack, not only because he didn't have much time or room to react to it, but he actually kind of liked it. Her soft, moist tongue touching his tender skin... it was actually quite lovely...

    Then she suddenly stopped. Peter was somewhat saddened by this, and looked up to her face to see it completely ridden with lust. She then opened her mouth as wide as she could, allowing him to be able to see down her enticing throat, the same place Peter knew he would be traveling through in a couple moments.

    She stuffed his entire head into her slimy mouth in one swift move, and continued the barrage internally. It was soooo warm inside her mouth, Peter actually kind of WANTED to go down faster, to have his entire body engulfed in this overwhelming warmth. His wish was soon granted, as he started to feel his head move to the back of the mouth, where he stared down the throat. He had gained so much desire to go down it contrasting to how he felt just a few minutes ago. He chuckled to himself when he thought about how quickly his opinions changed to this whole subject.

    A loud gulp reverberating around the mouth snapped him out of his thoughts. His trek to the stomach had begun with a jerk into the throat. Sasha then transferred the assault to the next area in her mouth: his chest and belly. It sort of tickled him, once she managed to get her tongue to reach his skin under the shirt he was wearing. She tried to keep it moving, as well as savoring Peter's exquisite taste, meanwhile, Peter's head was pulled by the surprisingly really strong and tight throat muscles. He was mystified at the dragon's internal structures and having pleasure at the same time.

    Soon enough, only his legs were left outside in the cold cave, which were covered in saliva due to how much leaked out of the mouth. Sasha decided to lift her head towards the ceiling, to have gravity assist her on pulling in this hefty load. Peter wasn't terribly smaller than her, and pulling him in was a challenge on its own, and should be a tight squeeze for him too. But despite the challenge, his indescribable taste was all worth it.

    She started to lick the bare legs, since Peter was only wearing shorts, he had open skin for her to savor, which is exactly what she did. As she licked the legs, she felt the bulge that grew in her neck, it was huge. She could feel the distinct features like his face, hand, arms, etc. But it still felt glorious, having something so big fit in her long throat was an unimaginable feeling for her, and Peter felt the same way.

    It was just the feet left outside the mouth, and Sasha wanted to savor the lasts of his tastes before sending him down, so she took off his shoes with her talon, and started to salivate his ticklish toes. Peter couldn't hold it back for a single second, and bursted into a laughing fit, struggling restlessly. If Sasha thought feeling him slide down was unimaginable, there was no way to even come close to describing this feeling.

    After what felt like a whole hour to Peter ended with the finalizing gulp, delivering the rest of his feet down the long throat. It was at that point that Peter's head paused at a ring of muscle, then got slowly squeezed through ring, eventually followed by the rest of his body. It was pitch black in there and a tad bit cramped, but it felt all squishy and soft inside, with saliva covering all of the walls, coming to a pool at the bottom. Sasha's constant heartbeat rang throughout the stomach, in a hypnotic rhythm.

    At the final gulp, Sasha made a big sigh, after ingesting such a large quantity of food, and looked at her underbelly; it was extended to abnormal size for her, but it looked nice. She nuzzled the bulge that Peter made, to non verbally ask if he was OK, to which he responded with his own rubs. After a time of exchanging nuzzles, Sasha heard Peter's muffled voice from inside the belly say; "Do you mind if I spend the night in here? its really nice..."

    "Of course you can," Sasha smiled at his request, "I'll let you out in the morning." At the sound of those words, Peter was already asleep. Sasha decided it was the best time to hit the hay as well, due to how late it had got, laid her head on her crossed talons, and fell asleep along with him

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
    Sunlight touched the cave floor revealing some of the hidden features inside, bringing warmth to all places it visited with it. This shift in temperature rustled Sasha and she woke with a yawn and a stretch of her forearms and back, the sudden movements waking Peter from inside, where he couldn't stretch himself, unfortunately.
    Sasha was slightly saddened when she realized she had to let Peter out, since it felt so nice with him inside, but sadly everything good must come to an end. She clenched up her stomach to regurgitate the contents, squeezing Peter in the process. Up the throat he traveled, in a much faster manor compared to how he went down, and she spat him right on the ground covered completely in saliva.
    Peter heaved himself up, dripping all the juices he carried with him and stared at his loving captor. "Morning, sleepyhead" She said with a happy tone, warm eyes, and a smile, Peter barely looking up at her, showing how tired he was. "In case you wanted to wash off, there is a pool right over there." She pointed in the direction of a small pond in the back of her cave. After he groggily stretching out what he could, he looked to where she was pointing at to see what she was telling the truth, and stumbled half asleep over there, and just fell right in.
    He surfaced as fast as he could, in sheer shock by the cold water, and swam as fast as he could to the side of the pool and hoisted himself up with a jump. "COLD COLD COLD COLD" He ran around in circles by the sheer freezing water he just plunged into.
    Sasha burst into laughter by Peter's ridiculous display. "Well at least you're awake now!" She laughed harder at her own response, as she started pounding her talons on the ground.
    Peter stopped running around, his hot red checks of embarrassment warming himself enough to handle the cold. "Yup, I am. Did you know that water was that cold?" He looks up to see a mischievous grin grew on her face, "Maybe," she said trying to hold back another outburst.
    Sasha started to stare into space while he was still trying to collect himself, and started to twiddled her talons in anxiety. "Hey Peter..." She asked, with a slight quiver in her voice, still avoiding eye contact.
    Peter managed to finish collecting himself, and tried to meet her eyes the best he could and replied; "What is it Sasha?"
    She shifted her gaze to meet his, "Well, I am usually so lonely around her, what with my sister being gone most of the time and as I said yesterday, forest critters aren't exactly easy to spend time with.." She looked away again, Peter could tell this was really hard for her to ask him whatever she was going to ask him. "Would... would you like to live here with me?"
    Peter was stunned by this offer. He could completely forget his life so far to live with this dragon he just met. She seemed to be have a good soul, and morals, but this was quite the decision he had to make. She then added, "I'll care you like you're part of my family, I'll love you, and..." she said with a wink and smile, "I'll eat you a bit more if you want."
    The pressure on Peter was getting really heavy. He had pros and cons to each situation, the pros being that he gets to live with Sasha for the rest of his life, without stress, without pain, just good times. But he would have to forfeit all he had, his relationships with the people he had met, his opportunities in the new town he had been trekking to, Edmond...
    Wait a second, Edmond... where was he? He must've seen Peter at some point in his flight to the cave... he must know where he is at this point. He obviously didn't come by last night, because he would've done something to Sasha by now...
    He looked out past Sasha's head to see the entrance of the cave, it wasn't that long of a hike to get to where he was now, so if Edmond hadn't come yet, there were two options. The first one was that he just simply didn't see it happen, and is searching for where he ran in the forest... the second... wait, what is that? He noticed an out of place rock spire. After squinting his eyes on the displaced object, he concluded it wasn't a rock at all
    It was a spear tip
    Edmond is here
    He leaped out from behind his cover of the mountain side his spear holding arm pulled back ready to throw it right at Sasha's vulnerable head. "SASHA LOOK OUT!" Peter screamed and pointed to his brother, just as Edmond threw his spear. Sasha turned to see what was coming, to get the spear to stick right between her eyes. Then, with no sound, shout, or scream, she fell to the ground with a sickening thud.
    "No..." Peter was stunned by what just happened and ran with teary eyes to Sasha's body, Edmond seeing him OK on his way over to her body, and ran with excited glee to his brother. Edmond reached Peter first and gave him a big hug, "Oh Peter, I'm so happy you're safe!" A tear of joy trailed along his face, "I thought you would be dead by the time I got here!" Peter struggled out of his grasp without and word and walked over to Sasha's head, Edmond watching him, confused as to why he did not share the same emotions.
    Blood had been trickling along the impalement she had received, her lifeless eyes staring into the void, she wasn't here anymore.
    She was dead.
    "The last thing she asked..." Peter choked out of his mouth through his tears, "Was to join her up here in the mountains, and live with her." Edmond looked down to the ground at the sound of Peter's words, he understood why Peter was so upset now, he had acted too quickly, and assumed too early and had killed someone who meant no harm. "I'm so sorry Peter... I had no idea how kind she had been to you. I thought she was going to kill you."
    Peter kneeled down to Sasha's head and hugged it. Her body was cold, dead cold. It felt so wrong that someone that had offered such a generous offer would be gone without an answer. He started to bawl, she had left the world prematurely, and there was no way to fix it. She was dead, she was dead, she was dead. That was the answer she was given.
    "I can't believe she's gone, just like that..." Peter said to Edmond, looking out of the entrance, "I feel like if she left like that, as lonely as she was, I should follow her."
    "Don't tell yourself that," Edmond responded to Peter's extreme suggestion, "If anyone deserves it, its me, not you, you couldn't of done anything to save her, its my fault."
    Silence and deep thought followed Edmond's response, as the two brothers minds whirled at this extremely emotional occurrence. Edmond eventually broke the silence with "We need to get going if we want to get some progress today." He started walking to the entrance but turned back, to wait for Peter, "You coming?"
    "I'll come in a minute, just start walking without me." Edmond understood, and walked out of sight, and with that, Peter was left with Sasha's body. He whispered to her lifeless ear, "You were so kind to me, giving me life when you could've just as easily given me death, saving my life from those wolves, and giving me one of the best nights of my life. I'm going to miss you dreadfully, the world will miss you dreadfully, but we know you are in a better place. I hope to see you there soon." He gave her snout a little kiss and walked out of the cave, giving her one last long look before running to catch up with Edmond.
Not every story has a happy ending.
Well, this is my second story on this account and personally, I think it turned out much better than the last one I wrote but that's just me. What did you think? Did you enjoy the story? did you hate the story? I would appreciate it a ton if you would give your opinion to this story, but be prepared for me to ask why if I need to. Thank you in advance!
